AML & KYC Policy
Last updated 7 October 2026
Rampy Technologies, Inc. is committed to preventing money laundering, terrorist financing and sanctions evasion. This page summarises the controls that apply when you use Rampy.money.
Identity verification and transaction monitoring are performed by our regulated partners, who carry the corresponding regulatory obligations. We design the product so those controls cannot be bypassed.
1. Verification before transacting
Every user must complete identity verification before buying, selling or converting. There is no unverified tier and no trial allowance. Verification collects, at minimum:
- full legal name, date of birth and residential address;
- a tax or national identification number where required;
- a government-issued photo identity document and a biometric check confirming you match it — except that our partner may verify a US resident from their personal details and Social Security number first, and then asks for a photo identity document before they receive more than $100,000 in total; and
- for businesses, incorporation documents and the identity of ultimate beneficial owners.
Business accounts must be opened with an email address at the company's own domain. An address at a consumer mail provider is not accepted for a business account, and an account opened as a business will be verified as one — including a review by a person rather than an automated decision. Opening a business account for a company you are not authorised to represent, or transacting for a business through a personal account, is a breach of these terms and grounds for closing the account.
2. Screening
Before approval and on an ongoing basis, customers are screened against:
- international sanctions lists;
- politically exposed person (PEP) and adverse media data; and
- internal and industry blocklists.
A positive match results in enhanced review or refusal. We do not serve customers in sanctioned jurisdictions.
3. Ongoing monitoring
Transactions are monitored for patterns that suggest financial crime, including structuring, unusual velocity, exposure to high-risk wallet addresses, and inconsistency with a customer’s stated profile. Blockchain analytics are applied to deposit and destination addresses.
We may ask you for source-of-funds or source-of-wealth evidence. We may pause or refuse a transaction while we do.
4. Prohibited activity
You may not use Rampy in connection with:
- money laundering, terrorist financing or sanctions evasion;
- proceeds of crime, fraud, ransomware or extortion;
- darknet marketplaces or mixing and tumbling services;
- unlicensed money transmission or payment processing for third parties; or
- any activity unlawful where you live or where we operate.
5. Reporting and confidentiality
Where required, suspicious activity is reported to the relevant financial intelligence unit. The law generally prohibits us from telling you that a report has been made, and may require us to freeze funds or decline a transaction without giving a reason. This is not discretionary on our part.
6. Record keeping
Customer identification and transaction records are retained for at least five years after the end of the relationship, as required by applicable law. See the Privacy Policy for how that interacts with your data rights.
7. Refusal and offboarding
We may decline to onboard, may suspend, and may close an account where verification fails, where requested information is not provided, where screening produces a match, or where activity is inconsistent with this policy. Where funds must be returned, they are returned to their verified source wherever possible.
