How Rampy works

What each product does, what it costs, and the parts that catch people out. Every figure here is the one the app charges.

The two that sound alike

A deposit account and an auto-convert address are both permanent and both convert on arrival, and they run in opposite directions. Worth thirty seconds now rather than finding out by sending the wrong thing.

Verify once

Nothing moves until this is done, and it covers every currency and network.

  1. 1Open Verification and tell us which country you live in. Our partner decides who it can serve by country of residence, so you find out before uploading anything if yours is not one of them.
  2. 2Then follow the link to our regulated partner.
  3. 3A personal account needs an ID document and a selfie check. A business account needs the company's details and the people behind it — owners, directors and anyone who can sign.
  4. 4Most decisions arrive in about a minute. A manual review can take until the next business day.
  5. 5Your documents go to our partner, not to us. We are told the outcome and nothing else.

Your Rampy wallet

Created when you sign up, the default for every order, and yours alone: we never hold its keys. Secure it before you sell or swap.

  1. 1Turn on two-step approval, so every signature and transaction asks for a second factor.
  2. 2Back up your wallet: press Back up my wallet, copy the recovery phrase (or the private key) from our wallet provider's window, which we cannot read, and import it into a wallet app of your choice, such as MetaMask, Phantom, Trust Wallet or Coinbase Wallet. It is how you get back in if you lose your email. Buying, deposit accounts, selling and swapping all wait until this is done.
  3. 3Optional: connect another wallet you already have, in your browser or on your phone. The wallet you imported is already your Rampy wallet, so it needs no connecting.
  4. 4Send any stablecoin in it to another address with Send on the Wallet page. On Ethereum (sends of 100 or more), Base, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism and Solana, Rampy pays the network fee for sends from your Rampy wallet; elsewhere the wallet needs a little of that network's own coin.

Anyone who has your recovery phrase or private key owns that wallet permanently. We will never ask you for either, and nobody legitimate ever will.

Buy — money to stablecoins

Send one bank transfer, stablecoins reach your wallet.

GBP

Your wallet

Price. 1.99% + 1.99 below 500, then 0.99% + 1.99 from 500 per order, from 100.

  1. 1Choose how you pay. One-off buys are open in GBP today. For other currencies, a deposit account converts whatever you pay in instead — Get paid lists the ones open to you now.
  2. 2Pick the stablecoin and the network, and the wallet it goes to — your Rampy wallet, or a wallet app you have connected.
  3. 3Check the preview: the fee and roughly what you will receive are shown before you confirm.
  4. 4Send one bank transfer with the exact amount and the reference shown. The coins arrive in your wallet once it lands.

Put the reference in your transfer exactly as shown. Without it the payment cannot be matched to your order.

Sell — stablecoins to your bank

Send coins from your own wallet, money lands in your bank account.

GBP, EUR, USD, BRL or MXN

Price. 1.99% + 1.99 below 500, then 0.99% + 1.99 from 500 per order, from 100 of the asset you send.

  1. 1Add the bank account you want paying. Your own is filled in with the name you are verified under. To pay somebody else, choose "Someone else's" and give their name and address — our payment partner needs both — and copy the name exactly as their bank has it, because UK and euro banks check it before the payment leaves.
  2. 2Choose the network and asset you hold, and the amount.
  3. 3Confirm, then send the coins to the address shown. It is a one-off address for that order.
  4. 4The money reaches your bank on the rail you chose: USD over ACH, USD over Wire, EUR over SEPA, GBP over Faster Payments, BRL over Pix, MXN over SPEI.

Send on the network the page names, and nothing else. A confirmed blockchain transaction cannot be reversed by anyone, including us.

Getting paid in Brazil or Mexico

Reais and pesos are for payouts only, switched on per customer.

USDC

BRL or MXN
  1. 1For customers from Brazil or Mexico: each country is shown only to customers from there.
  2. 2Under Verification, press Turn on next to Brazil or Mexico. Brazil asks for a phone number and a tax ID — your CPF, or your passport if you are not Brazilian — given right there. Mexico is approved from your existing verification, sometimes after you accept updated terms.
  3. 3Under Bank accounts, add the account — yours, or that of somebody you are paying: a Pix key for Brazil (CPF or CNPJ, phone, email or random key), or an 18-digit CLABE for Mexico.
  4. 4Sell to that account, or point an auto-convert address at it. Pix and SPEI usually settle in seconds.

You cannot buy with reais or pesos, or open a BRL or MXN deposit account.

Price. 0.5% of the amount, with no flat fee, from 20. The same rate on any amount.

  1. 1Pick what you are sending and what you want back. The assets offered follow the network: USDT is on Ethereum, Solana and Tron, not on Base.
  2. 2Give the wallet you are sending from and the wallet to receive at.
  3. 3Send the coins to the address shown.

In most countries this is still a disposal for tax, even though both sides track the same currency. Keep the receipt.

Arrives on its own

Price. 1.99% of each deposit, no flat fee. We ask you to keep deposits at 100 or above. An account you already have keeps the rate it was opened at.

  1. 1Open one from the Get paid page, one for each currency you are paid in. The page lists the currencies open to you today.
  2. 2Choose which stablecoin, network and wallet the money should end up as.
  3. 3Give the details to whoever pays you — or share a pay link, or send an invoice with an amount and due date, which is marked paid when the money arrives.
  4. 4Money paid in any time converts on its own: a salary, an invoice, a standing order.

There is no order to cancel. Whatever arrives is converted the moment it arrives, so paying in twice converts twice. That is the trade for not filling in a form each time.

Auto-convert address — the same idea, the other way round

A permanent crypto address tied to one of your bank accounts. Coins sent to it are paid out as money.

Paid out on its own

Price. 1.99% of each payout, no flat fee — a permanent address has no amount agreed in advance for a flat fee to attach to.

  1. 1Add the bank account it should pay first — yours, or somebody else's you pay regularly (an address can pay somebody else's account once it has been linked for a week).
  2. 2Create an address for the network and coin you will be sent, or one address for every Ethereum network at once.
  3. 3Share it. Each arrival is converted and paid out on its own — on US, euro and Mexican payouts with a reference of your choosing on each one.

Also no cancel button, and it accepts money from anyone — not only you. Anything that arrives is converted and paid to your bank.

When the money arrives

What to expect, and why the name on your statement is not ours.

  1. 1GBP over Faster Payments and EUR over SEPA Instant usually land within minutes, weekends included (above a million, SEPA Credit or BACS takes a business day or more). US ACH takes one to three business days and a wire usually the same day. Brazil and Mexico settle in seconds.
  2. 2A payout does not arrive from a company called Rampy. It comes from the regulated institution that operates that rail, so match on the amount and the reference rather than looking for a brand.
  3. 3Every order shows its live stage, and we email you when it changes.
