Getting paid

Get paid in stablecoins

Give whoever pays you ordinary bank details. What arrives is converted to the stablecoin you chose and sent to a wallet you control, without you placing an order or logging in. The details are permanent, so you hand them over once — on an invoice, to a payroll department, to a client — and every payment after that arrives the same way.

Verification is required once, and is handled by our regulated payment partner.

How it works

  1. 1

    Open a deposit account

You pick the currency you will be paid in, the stablecoin you want, and the wallet it should land in. We give you a set of bank details in return.

  2. 2

Send the details to whoever pays you

An account number and a sort code, an IBAN, or the local equivalent. They look like any other bank details because that is what they are — the payer needs to know nothing about stablecoins.

  3. 3

    They pay you normally

A salary run, an invoice payment, a transfer from a client. Nothing about their process changes, and there is nothing for them to sign up to.

  4. 4

    It arrives converted

Money that lands is converted and sent on to your wallet automatically. We charge 1.99% of what arrives and no flat fee. You are emailed when it settles.

Who this is for

Freelancers and contractors

One set of details per currency, for every client paying in it. Put them on the invoice and the payment converts itself; an invoice from Rampy tells you which client paid.

Anyone paid a salary abroad

Your employer pays into an ordinary account in the currency they already run payroll in. What you hold is the stablecoin.

Businesses taking revenue

Customer payments arrive as bank transfers and land as stablecoins in a wallet the company controls. See business payments for the rest of it.

What it runs on

Read from the same tables the app routes payments with, so this list cannot describe something an order would be refused for.

Orders are 1.99% + 1.99 below 500, then 0.99% + 1.99 from 500. A deposit account is 1.99% of what arrives with no flat fee, and we ask you to keep deposits at 100 or above.

These details convert everything sent to them

There is no order to cancel and no confirmation step. Anything that arrives is converted at the rate at the time it arrives, so treat them as an account you are happy to have converted rather than a general-purpose bank account.

Common questions

What is a deposit account?

Permanent bank details in your own name, in USD, EUR or GBP. Anything paid into them is converted and sent to your wallet without you placing an order, which suits money that arrives on a schedule you do not control. Priced at 1.99% with no flat fee. We suggest payments of 100 or more; smaller ones still convert, though our partner's own minimums can apply. An account with no payment for 60 days closes, after an email at least 14 days before; reopening keeps the same details.

Is Rampy custodial?

No. Stablecoins are sent to a wallet address you control, and money is paid out to the bank account you choose — yours, or somebody you are paying. Rampy is designed so that customer assets are not held by Rampy.

Which currencies are supported?

Payouts go to USD, EUR, GBP, BRL and MXN. Deposit accounts take USD, EUR and GBP, and one-off buys are open in GBP; reais and pesos are payout-only. Which you can use also depends on the country your account is verified in.

Why do I need to verify my identity?

Because money is moving between a regulated banking rail and a blockchain, and the rules that apply to that require it. Verification runs once, through our payments partner, and covers every product.

Does the person paying me need a Rampy account?

No. They send an ordinary bank transfer to ordinary bank details. They never interact with Rampy and do not need to know stablecoins are involved.

Can I have more than one set of details?

Yes — one per currency you are paid in. You can name each one inside your account so several are easy to tell apart, and turn any of them off at any time.

Who is allowed to pay into it?

Payments from an account in your own name are always fine. A third party paying in is accepted on some rails, restricted on others, and capped by amount on US dollars. The rule for each currency is shown against the details themselves before you hand them out.

What is the smallest payment worth sending?

Anything smaller than 100 still converts, but network costs make it poor value. We ask you to keep deposits at or above that.
