A Brazilian Pix key — yours, or that of somebody you are paying: CPF or CNPJ, email, phone or a random key.
Your own account, or somebody else's — a person or a business you are paying. For somebody else's, you give their name and address when you add the account.

Ethereum, Base, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche C-Chain, Solana, Stellar
USDC on any of these. Check the network as well as the address.
  • Pix settles in seconds, every day of the year.
  • Our partner needs a phone number and a tax ID before it will pay out in reais — your CPF, or your passport if you are not Brazilian. Turn Brazil on from Verification and it will ask for them.

How to do it

  1. 1Verify your identityOnce, for everything. Brazil is open to customers from Brazil.
  2. 2Turn Brazil onUnder Verification, press Turn on next to Brazil, and give your phone number and your CPF right there. Approval usually follows within minutes.
  3. 3Add your Pix keyUnder Bank accounts, add a Brazilian account by its Pix key — CPF or CNPJ, phone, email or random key. Yours, or the key of somebody you are paying — for them, give their name and address.
  4. 4SellChoose BRL, pick the Pix account, and send your USDC from your wallet. The reais arrive by Pix in seconds, any day. For money that keeps coming, an auto-convert address can pay the same Pix account automatically.
Brazil asks for more than the other rails

Brazil's rules require payouts in reais to be traceable to an identified person, so our partner asks for two things beyond your verification: a phone number, and a tax ID — your CPF if you are Brazilian, your passport if you are not, or the company's CNPJ. It is switched on per customer, from Verification, rather than open by default. Reais are for payouts only: you cannot buy with them or open a BRL deposit account.

Common questions

Which Pix key types work?
A CPF or CNPJ key is the safest, because it is provably yours. A phone, email or random key works too. The key belongs to whoever is being paid: you, or somebody else — for somebody else, add it as their account with their name and address.
Do I have to be Brazilian?
Yes. Payouts in reais are for customers from Brazil, who give their CPF to our partner. What the payout needs is a Brazilian bank account with a Pix key.
Can I buy USDC with reais, or get a BRL deposit account?
Not on Rampy. Reais are for payouts only — selling, or an auto-convert address paying out. Our partner limits buying with reais to Brazilian residents, and we do not offer it.
Why do I have to ask for Brazil to be switched on?
Because our partner approves each country separately, and Brazil needs a phone number and a tax ID first. Turning it on takes a click under Verification, and you give both there — you are not sent through verification again.
What fees does Rampy charge?
A buy or a sell is 1.99% + 1.99 below 500, then 0.99% + 1.99 from 500 of the amount you send — pounds on a buy, the stablecoin on a sell. A swap is 0.5% of the amount, with no flat fee. A deposit account or an auto-convert address is 1.99% with no flat fee, which is cheaper than an order below about 500 and dearer above it. The pricing page shows the figures by amount.
Is Rampy custodial?
No. Stablecoins are sent to a wallet address you control, and money is paid out to the bank account you choose — yours, or somebody you are paying. Rampy is designed so that customer assets are not held by Rampy.
Why do I need to verify my identity?
Because money is moving between a regulated banking rail and a blockchain, and the rules that apply to that require it. Verification runs once, through our payments partner, and covers every product.
