Convert USDC to USD

Send USDC from your own wallet and receive dollars in a US bank account, yours or somebody else's. There is no Rampy balance in the middle — the coins leave your wallet, our regulated payment partner converts them, and the dollars arrive by ACH or wire.

  • ACH is the cheaper way and takes one to three business days. A wire costs more and usually arrives the same day.
  • Neither runs at weekends or on US bank holidays.
ACH, same-day ACH or wire: the difference is time

This is the one corridor where you choose the rail. Rampy's fee is the same on all three, plus 10 on a wire, which is what our partner charges per wire, passed on at cost. ACH usually arrives the next business day; same-day ACH arrives that afternoon if sent by 2:30pm Eastern; a wire usually lands within hours. Many US banks also charge their own customer to receive a wire, so check yours before choosing it. None of them moves at weekends or on US bank holidays, so a Friday afternoon sale is a Monday arrival.

Common questions

Do I need a US bank account?
Yes — yours, or the US account of somebody you are paying. A US routing and account number is what both rails settle into; an international account cannot receive either.
Is USDT the same?
Yes for this corridor — USDT, EURC and PYUSD all sell into dollars on the same rails at the same price. The coin only changes which networks are available to send from.
What fees does Rampy charge?
A buy or a sell is 1.99% + 1.99 below 500, then 0.99% + 1.99 from 500 of the amount you send — pounds on a buy, the stablecoin on a sell. A swap is 0.5% of the amount, with no flat fee. A deposit account or an auto-convert address is 1.99% with no flat fee, which is cheaper than an order below about 500 and dearer above it. The pricing page shows the figures by amount.
Is Rampy custodial?
No. Stablecoins are sent to a wallet address you control, and money is paid out to the bank account you choose — yours, or somebody you are paying. Rampy is designed so that customer assets are not held by Rampy.
Why do I need to verify my identity?
Because money is moving between a regulated banking rail and a blockchain, and the rules that apply to that require it. Verification runs once, through our payments partner, and covers every product.
