Rampy vs Wise

Wise is the cheapest way most people know to hold and convert ordinary currencies. Rampy does something Wise does not: it turns a bank payment into stablecoins in a wallet you control, and turns stablecoins back into a bank transfer. If you never touch stablecoins, Wise is probably the better product for you, and this page says so.

We make Rampy, so read this knowing that. Rampy's figures are read from the code that charges them. Wise's are what its public pages said on 2 November 2026; they change, so check them before deciding, and tell us at support@rampy.money if one is wrong.

In one line each

Rampy

For getting paid into stablecoins, and for getting stablecoins out to a bank, with public per-order pricing.

Wise

For holding and converting dozens of ordinary currencies at close to the mid-market rate, with a card.

1.99% of each payment, no flat fee, no monthly charge. Bank details in your own name in USD and EUR.

    Wise

Free by local transfer (ACH, SEPA, Faster Payments); a USD wire or SWIFT receipt carries a fixed fee of about $6.11. Business accounts pay a one-time fee for the receiving details (about $31 in the US, £50 in the UK).

  • Converting currencies

    Rampy

    Not a currency product. Stablecoins to a bank: 1.99% + 1.99 below 500, then 0.99% + 1.99 from 500. 0.5% between stablecoins or networks, no flat fee.

    Wise

Wise, as a safeguarded balance, until you send it on.

Identity verification with our regulated partner before the first order, usually a few minutes. Business accounts verify the company and its owners.

Where Wise is the better choice

  • You want ordinary currencies, cheaply

Wise's conversion is among the cheapest published anywhere. Rampy does not convert between ordinary currencies at all.

  • You want a card and to hold many currencies

Wise holds forty-odd currencies and issues a debit card. Rampy holds nothing and has no card.

  • You live where Wise issues local details and Rampy does not pay out yet

Rampy pays out in USD, EUR and GBP today. Wise pays out to local banks in most of the world.

Where Rampy is the better choice

  • You want to be paid into stablecoins

A client pays your USD or EUR bank details and USDC or EURC lands in your wallet. Wise cannot do this.

  • You hold stablecoins and need a bank transfer

Sell USDC, USDT, EURC or PYUSD to a USD, EUR or GBP bank account for 1.99% + 1.99 below 500, then 0.99% + 1.99 from 500, with the amount shown before you confirm. Wise does not take stablecoins.

  • You do not want a company holding a balance for you

Rampy never holds your money. Coins go to a wallet you hold the keys to.

Using both

The natural pairing: Wise for ordinary currency, Rampy for the stablecoin leg. Many customers sell stablecoins on Rampy to their Wise account in USD, EUR or GBP, then convert or spend from there.

Common questions

Is Rampy custodial?

No. Stablecoins are sent to a wallet address you control, and money is paid out to the bank account you choose — yours, or somebody you are paying. Rampy is designed so that customer assets are not held by Rampy.

What fees does Rampy charge?

A buy or a sell is 1.99% + 1.99 below 500, then 0.99% + 1.99 from 500 of the amount you send — pounds on a buy, the stablecoin on a sell. A swap is 0.5% of the amount, with no flat fee. A deposit account or an auto-convert address is 1.99% with no flat fee, which is cheaper than an order below about 500 and dearer above it. The pricing page shows the figures by amount.

Which countries are supported?

Availability varies by country, by product and by payment method, and is decided by our payments partner during verification rather than by us. The rails we run and the countries each one banks in are listed on the availability page. If a rail is not available to you, the app will not offer it.

Can I sell stablecoins on Rampy to my Wise account?

Yes, if the Wise account's details are in your own name, in USD (ACH or wire), EUR (SEPA) or GBP (Faster Payments). Add it under Bank accounts and pick it when you sell.

Can a company pay my Rampy bank details from Wise?

Yes. A business paying from its own Wise account into your bank details is an ordinary bank transfer. If the payer is a company and the account is personal, our partner may review the payment; see the limits on the pricing page.

Try it with a small payment

Verification takes a few minutes and opens your bank details. Pay yourself a small amount from your own bank and watch it arrive as stablecoins. Nothing to subscribe to.
