How to Cash Out USDC from Coinbase to a UK Bank Account

Three steps: send your USDC from Coinbase to your own Rampy wallet on Base, sell it, and pounds usually reach your UK bank by Faster Payments within minutes.

There are two ways to turn USDC held on Coinbase into pounds in a UK bank. If your Coinbase account supports GBP withdrawals, you can sell there and withdraw. Or you can move the USDC to your own wallet and sell it through Rampy. Both are legitimate; compare the total on the day, because what matters is how many pounds arrive, not the headline fee. This guide covers the second route.

Before you start

A verified Rampy account.
Your UK bank account added under Bank accounts: the sort code and account number.
Your Rampy wallet address on Base, from the Wallet page. It is yours; Rampy never holds the coins in it.

Step 1: send the USDC from Coinbase

In Coinbase, choose USDC and Send.
Paste your Rampy wallet address.
Choose Base as the network. The network on both sides must match.
For a first transfer, send a small amount, check it arrives, then send the rest.

The network matters as much as the address. The same address on a different network is not the same destination, and a transfer on the wrong one is not always recoverable.

Step 2: sell on Rampy

Open Sell, choose USDC on Base, and enter the amount.
Choose your UK bank account under Pay out to.
Check the preview before you confirm. Our fee is 1.99% + 1.99 below 500, then 0.99% + 1.99 from 500, and the preview shows it with roughly what will arrive.
Confirm, and send the USDC from your Rampy wallet to the one-off address shown. Rampy usually covers the network fee for this send.

How long it takes

Pounds are paid by Faster Payments and usually arrive within minutes, at any hour. Very large payouts, above £1,000,000, go by BACS instead and take three business days. The name on your bank statement will be the institution that operates the payment rail, not Rampy, so match the payment on the amount and the reference.

Send it to your own Rampy wallet first. A sell is paid from your wallet, and the app says which address the funds must come from.

Which network should I use?
